Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 12:18PM I am the founder of UK record label 'Plastic Raygun' and creative director at US viral advertising agency 'Zeitghost Media'. I consider myself a futurist and an adopter and lover of new technologies.
I graduated in 1992 from Exeter School of Design with a BA(Hons) 1st class in product design. My final 1992 show included a mini portable music player that played wirlessly downloadable compressed music files that could be shared with other players. I predicted that vinyl records would out live CDs and that the record industry would collapse under the weight of it's own greed. Unfortunately I also predicted that Chaos Theory would inspire an new art movement to rival 1960's Pop Art...I'm still waiting. In 1998-99 I lectured at the University of Wales (Carleon) in Design Futures.

My confession is that I'm not as into music as you are. I find it hard to get into music and I don't listen to it that much. If I had a choice to sit in a room in silence or listen to a good radio station, I'd sit in silence.
I believe that music and the music industry are as different as birds and Kentucky Fried Chicken. We are still at the dawn of a new era and we should continue to invent it the way we want it.
In my spare time and sometimes professional life, I'm a film maker. I create all of Tara's films and direct every visual part of her work.
