AnalogSuicide.com Interviews 808 State's Graham Massey!

On April 4th, Maf & I wandered out to the Echoplex here in L.A. on a crisp, vibrant evening to catch the wonderful Graham Massey, A.K.A Massonix. Supporting the marvelous Manchester/London-based Autechre, Graham performed songs from his latest release on Skam Records, "Subtracks".

Here we are relaxing on the bus chatting about the sweet wilderness of live performance.

Keep your peepers peeled for part two! Via tarabusch on YouTube.

Check out more on Mr. Massey here and here, and do yourself a tremendous favor and soak in his spectacular project in Manchester, Sisters Of Transistors...

Their juicy, sizzling transistor organ -based brilliance turns me into, as Brian Wilson would say, "a happy marshmallow"(FYI - "a happy marshmallow" is apparently Brian Wilson's technical term for what his tyrannical father would transform into upon hearing music that pleased him. Hey - you can here to learn, didn't you?).

For dessert, check out 808 State on Top of the Pops. The UK music scene has always impressed me in so many ways.....Don't you miss TOTP?
This lovely music show
has to be my favorite, though....as Nessa from the brilliant UK comedy, "Gavin & Stacy" would say: "Tidy!".

Anyway - these clips are via chrisf242 on YouTube. LOTS of goodies on this channel, go have a peek!
